Our History

Hubers Bus Service, Inc. was founded in 1961 by William and Elizabeth Hubers. The company started as a school bus company. Willy, who at the time was a fire fighter, hired some of his fire-fighter co-workers to work for him as drivers on their days off. Each year Willy would purchase one more school bus. His company grew quickly. By 1972 he had 14 school buses, at this time his son Eddie, and his wife Carol decided to join in the fun.

Eddie and Carol purchased 20 school buses from Clyde’s bus Company. And two years later in 1977, after a lot of arguing with his dad, Eddie decided to buy the Company’s first Motor coach. This end of the company grew quickly as well, by the mid 1980’s they had 18 motor coaches and mini buses.

After almost 50 years this company is still growing strong. There are many family members that are still currently working for the company. This includes Eddie, Carol, their children as well as a lot of extended family and friends. We as a family enjoy this business and hope to continue to be a private, locally owned family operation.
